Program Notes: In its machine-like rhythms and angular lines, Do Your Job and Keep Your Mouth Shut: The Tiger Oil Memos humorously remembers a time when the din of typewriters could be heard in offices everywhere and when administrative assistants were called secretaries. Adapted from a series of memos from Edward "Tiger Mike" Davis, CEO of the now-defunct Tiger Oil Company, to his employees, the memos paint a picture of a compassionless despot, bent on maximizing profits with cold efficiency.
